Lead

Native lead along the contact between an ivory-colored, perthitic feldspar (probably microcline) on the left and a mixture of pinkish-orange “caswellite” and andradite on the right. At lower right is a thin layer of fine-grained franklinite-willemite ore. Cleavage surfaces in the feldspar bear light, patchy coatings of margarosanite (fl. blue SW) and minor clinohedrite (fl. orange SW). As of 2011 this specimen was in the collection of Richard Keller, former managing editor of The Picking Table.
