Gerstmannite

Elongate, orange-tan, translucent crystals of gerstmannite with dark red zincite in a vein cutting coarse-grained calcite marble.  This specimen, once in the Richard A. Kosnar collection, was sold as a zincite specimen to Steven Kuitems by Brian R. Kosnar (Mineral Classics).  Kosnar's label indicates the specimen is from Franklin rather than Sterling Hill, but this seems unlikely.  The ID was confirmed by Dr. Hexiong Yang by Raman spectroscopy at the University of Arizona.
