Adamite

Thin, pale green crusts of adamite line the fracture surfaces that form the front and back of this specimen from Sterling Hill.  The matrix is granular franklinite-calcite ore.  Minor blue azurite has replaced some of the calcite in the ore, and a little secondary willemite (revealed only by its fluorescence) lines the same fracture faces as the adamite.  Steven Phillips collection.
